How to stay calm & relaxed in a noisy world!🧘🏽♀️🍎
Life is a wonderful adventure. However, in these fast-changing times, it can sometimes be difficult to find your time to relax. To help you better detach and boost your happiness, we would love to share with your three tips from NewU that help you stress less & relax.
1. Go offline & Go silent
Your smartphone is a great tool! It connects us, making life easier, but sometimes we get a little too much involved with it. Research shows that excessively using a smartphone has several negative consequences, including loss of concentration, more stress, and an increased risk of depression. Therefore, it is advised to use your phone less. Three easy ways to go offline are to (1) put your phone on airphone mode, (2) put your phone on a sport where you cannot see it or (3) turn it off.
2. List the things you’re grateful for
What are you thankful for? What gives your life meaning? Which people have you spoken to that made your day? Research shows that thinking about what you are grateful for increases motivation. It also ensures that you can deal with negative emotions better. Overall it helps you to appreciate what you have.
3. Keep a journal
If you find it hard to unwind, putting your thoughts on paper might help. If you keep worrying, it is a good idea to put your thoughts on paper. What did you experience today? How did you feel? What did you learn? What are you looking forward to doing tomorrow?
